Stream Push — Multistream to YouTube, Twitch, Facebook & More

Broadcast once from your own website and reach every platform at the same time. Stream Push relays your live stream from your WordPress site out to YouTube, Twitch, Facebook, Kick, TikTok and any custom RTMP destination — without multiplying your own upload bandwidth or running a separate encoder for each platform.

Status: in active development. Stream Push is being built as a module of the VideoWhisper Server, alongside the existing scheduled-playout and IP-camera relay modules. A plugin-level version already ships inside PaidVideoChat for videochat rooms. If you need multistreaming now, tell us about your setup — we are prioritising development around real requirements, and early projects can be delivered as custom work.

Why Push From Your Own Server

The obvious way to reach several platforms is to run multiple outputs from your encoder. That multiplies your own upload bandwidth by the number of destinations, and most home or office connections cannot sustain it. Server-side push solves this properly:

  • One upload, many destinations — you send a single stream to your site; the server fans it out. Your upstream bandwidth stays constant no matter how many platforms you add.
  • Your site stays the primary destination — the stream lives on the platform you own, where your memberships, pay-per-view and tipping already work. Social platforms become reach, not the business.
  • No separate subscription — multistreaming as a capability of your own platform, not another monthly SaaS bill on top of hosting.
  • Add or drop destinations mid-broadcast — go live on YouTube halfway through, or drop a platform that starts throttling, without interrupting the broadcast.
  • Pass-through where possible — destinations that accept your source format are relayed without re-encoding, so CPU cost stays near zero. Transcoding is applied only where a platform actually requires it.

Planned Capabilities

  • Multiple destinations per channel — YouTube Live, Twitch, Facebook Live, Kick, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Trovo, or any custom RTMP/RTMPS endpoint
  • Per-destination enable/disable — control each platform independently, live
  • Per-destination status — see which platforms are actually receiving, with duration, bitrate and error reporting
  • Automatic start and stop — destinations activate when you go live and shut down cleanly when you stop
  • Automatic reconnection — dropped destinations retry with backoff; genuine authentication failures are surfaced rather than retried silently
  • Optional per-destination transcoding — cap bitrate or resolution for platforms with stricter limits
  • Works with scheduled channels — syndicate a 24/7 scheduled channel to social platforms, not just manual broadcasts
  • Works with IP camera sources — relay an IP camera stream out to public platforms
  • Plan-based limits — destination counts scale with your hosting plan

Who Needs This

Creators & Streamers

Build an audience on YouTube and Twitch while keeping subscriptions, tips and pay-per-view on a site you own. Social platforms drive discovery; your site takes the payment.

Churches & Faith Organizations

Members watch on the church website; the wider community finds the service on Facebook and YouTube. One camera, one operator, one broadcast — every congregation reached where they already are.

Events & Conferences

Registered attendees watch the gated stream on the event site while a public feed runs simultaneously on LinkedIn and YouTube for reach and sponsor visibility.

Online TV & Radio

Syndicate a 24/7 scheduled channel to several platforms at once, so the same programming grid runs on your site, YouTube and Facebook without extra operator time.

Sports & Community Clubs

Match coverage on the club site for members, plus a public feed on Facebook where the local community already follows the team.

Education & Training

Live classes delivered inside the LMS for enrolled students, with open sessions or promotional content simultaneously pushed to public platforms.

How It Will Work

  1. Broadcast to your site as usual — browser webcam, OBS via RTMP, or an IP camera source. Nothing changes about how you go live.
  2. Add destinations — paste the RTMP address and stream key from each platform into your channel settings, or configure them from your hosting account.
  3. Go live once — the server opens a relay to every enabled destination automatically and reports the status of each.

Your viewers on your own site are served the usual adaptive HLS/MPEG-DASH playback; the push destinations receive a standard RTMP feed in parallel.

Technical Notes

  • Source protocols: RTMP/RTMPS ingest from OBS or hardware encoders, WebRTC browser broadcast, RTSP IP cameras via the relay module
  • Destination protocol: RTMP and RTMPS out — the standard accepted by essentially every live platform
  • Relay engine: VideoWhisper Server push module (in development), alongside the existing nginx, restream and schedule modules
  • Available today: plugin-level push inside PaidVideoChat for videochat rooms — server-side ffmpeg relay, requires shell execution access on the hosting account
  • Server: VideoWhisper Server (included in all site2stream.com plans)
  • Free plugin: Broadcast Live Video on WordPress.org
