    The VideoWhisper Live Streaming plugin runs on WordPress — giving you access to thousands of themes, plugins, and service providers to customize every aspect of your platform.

    Theme

    The plugin uses WP shortcodes and hooks (actions, filters), so most standard WordPress themes work out of the box.

    Requirements:

    • Wide content area templates (preferably full page width) so app interfaces can use the available space
    • Must not disable WP hooks or replace core JS libraries like jQuery

    Suggestions: Start with the free Twenty Twenty-Four theme with sidebars removed, or browse premium WordPress themes. Themes like Jupiter, Impreza, and VideoPro have been tested with VideoWhisper plugins.

    Tip: When installing premium themes, do not activate sample/demo content that resets the database — it will remove your configured pages and menus.

    Plugin Settings

    All plugin settings are documented in the WP admin plugin backend, organized in sections:

    • Server, Integration, Broadcast
    • Premium Channels, Channel Features
    • Playlists Scheduler, Watch, Watch Limit, Watch Params
    • Billing, Tips, Mobile, Custom App

    Shortcodes and their parameters are documented in the plugin backend and can be added to any page, post, or template.

    Solution-specific CSS (for listings and user dashboards) can be edited directly in the plugin backend.

    The solution works alongside any other WordPress plugin that meets WP coding standards. Tens of thousands of plugins are available to extend your site.

    Site Contents

    Pages, menus, categories, and widget sections are managed from the WordPress admin backend.

    • All sites should have Privacy Policy and Terms of Use pages (see footer links on this site)
    • Adult sites in US jurisdiction also require a 2257 compliance page
    • Add custom pages from Pages > Add New, then assign them in Appearance > Menus
    • For cleaner layouts, remove all sidebar widgets (Appearance > Widgets) so content is full width
    • Users should have easy access to Registration and Login in menus or theme navigation

    Full Mode License

    When ready to go live, you need a full mode license (included in all site2stream.com turnkey plans). Without a license, the software runs in free mode with limitations and branding. A full mode license removes all restrictions when run from a licensed domain.

    Although VideoWhisper provides turnkey packages with software, hosting, and installation, you will be running your own site — which involves some time, patience, and minimal technical abilities. Site administration typically includes:

    • Reviewing registrations if approval is required
    • Fine-tuning settings for your business (billing accounts, membership roles, prices, feature toggles)
    • Setting up site-specific pages (terms of use, privacy policy, content categories)
    • Installing and configuring 3rd-party WordPress plugins as needed
